The Fort Worth DAO, TechFW, and Moonshot launch HackFW: MADE Challenge Demo Day
Tech Fort Worth (TechFW) today joined Fort Worth DAO and Moonshot, a member of the Manufacturing Accelerator and Development Engine (MADE) program, in sponsoring and hosting HackFW: MADE Challenge in partnership with The Fort Worth DAO.
The challenge invited individuals and teams to develop solutions for the manufacturing
and tech industries. Participants kicked off on Oct. 1 and were given 30 days to
design and build their projects. The challenge closed today with Demo Day at
Moonshot’s headquarters, where participants presented their final products.
“HackFW began as an effort to strengthen incentives and grow Fort Worth’s builder culture at the grassroots level through nontraditional channels,” said Tobalo Valderas, President of the Fort Worth DAO.
“As we worked to scale TechFW’s impact, champion MADE’s mission, and engage regional industrial partners, it became clear that technical talent is in short supply across both large employers and the venture ecosystem. We truly believe the next generation of wealth and talent will come through North Texas and this ecosystem over the next 30 years. The best way to predict the future is to build it.”
The program featured live project demonstrations from participating teams across four
problem tracks: AI for manufacturing, supplier relationship management, AI for
transportation, and tokenized industrial real estate. Attendees also had the chance to
connect with participants and see what the teams learned while designing, building, and
presenting their solutions.
“This is just one of the ways TechFW is partnering with our community to build real
solutions for our manufacturing industries and help shape the future of
entrepreneurship,” McMinn added.
“Today’s participants are the current and future workforce, and tomorrow’s business leaders. Through events like HackFW: MADE Challenge Demo Day, they are already showcasing the creativity and tenacity to show up and industry is paying attention. With several other key sponsors, this event is the first of many and we couldn’t do it alone.”
