Who is TechFW?

TechFW is a non-profit organization that has been helping entrepreneurs launch and grow emerging technology companies since 1998. We identify entrepreneurs and startup companies with technologies that have a high potential for success in the marketplace. Then, we mentor, coach, and relentlessly push them towards success. 

Internship Project and Purpose - Impact Showcase & Awards

The primary purpose of this internship will be assisting in the marketing, promotion and production of our annual Impact Showcase & Awards event, hosted on March 3, 2022 at Globe Life Field.

What is Impact Showcase & Awards?  

We believe in the power of tech to be a force for good. We believe in the brave entrepreneurs who create something from nothing. At TechFW, we get the pleasure of working with tech startups year-round... and we think their work is too good to keep to ourselves. On March 3, 2022, we invite the community to take a deep dive into all the up- and-coming tech in North Texas. Startups are doing incredible things to benefit their communities as well as the world at large. We think they deserve a stage to showcase their innovations. The event includes approximately 400 guests, a multitude of booths for tech startups, food, drinks, mingling, and an awards ceremony to honor standout startups who are making a big impact. 

Responsibilities:

Assist in the creation of signage and email campaigns
Assist in the distribution and delivery of marketing materials
Assist with the preparation of our upcoming event and with day-of needs
Develop social media campaign
Write and edit blogs about entrepreneurs
Create short videos (approx. 15 sec.) on TikTok, Instagram, etc. 
Draft marketing and communication collateral to be easily shared by university partners

Desired Qualifications:

Junior or Senior communications, marketing, or PR
Excellent writing and editing skills
Attention to detail
Quick learner
Team player
Comfortable in social settings
Social media experience 
Individual is plugged into the entrepreneurial ecosystem at their University
A willingness to ask questions if something is unclear
Positive and ambitious attitude
