TechFW is a technology entrepreneur support organization in Fort Worth that helps north Texas entrepreneurs commercialize innovative technologies. As the Marketing & Communications Manager, you will have direct involvement in everything we do … working directly with our members, our Cowtown Angel Investors, our MCrew mentors, and through our exemplary accelerator and incubator programs. We’re looking for a creative spirit who will lead the way marketing our diverse programs and events, and proudly represents our organization through internal and external outreach.

Our Marketing & Communications Manager leads the execution of efforts promoting programs and events and supporting the development of our annual and recurring events. The Marketing & Communications Manager will serve as another representative of TechFW in the community and will collaborate with other entrepreneur support organizations and University partners to help build the North Texas entrepreneur ecosystem.  


The ideal candidate has experience handling internal and external business communication, web and graphic design, content creation, social and digital platforms, and event and relationship management. The ability to communicate effectively in written and oral contexts is a must! You will be the key person to work on developing content that helps build brand recognition and generates exposure for TechFW and its members. You will be responsible for generating excitement and interest about our programs, and content that engages entrepreneurs and keeps stakeholders and the community informed about how to partner and offer support as we grow to do what we do best – serve entrepreneurs.



  • Spearhead all marketing efforts to enhance awareness, knowledge, and utilization of the organization and its programs through strategic communication and marketing plans

  • Capture and build storytelling assets that showcase TechFW members, programs, events, and partnerships

  • Manage all social media accounts with the goal of raising the organization’s profile and increasing user engagement

  • Assist team members in developing and implementing effective communication strategies to recruit program participants and event attendees

  • Create both digital and print assets for all events

  • Oversee and maintain the organization’s websites

  • Create educational and informational presentations for key stakeholders, as well as branded templates for team members

  • Develop and implement an annual marketing plan and calendar

  • Generate copy for internal and external communications, collaborating with the TechFW team, our members and community partners

  • Plan, layout, design, and prepare digital and print collateral

  • Maintain brand consistency across all channels, including website, graphic design, social media, messaging, printed materials, and digital communications

  • Craft key messaging that strengthens and expands the brand and culture of the organization locally, regionally, nationally and internationally.

  • Manage projects to ensure content is publication-ready and oversee outside freelancers, vendors, and marketing interns

  • Prepare, review, and distribute official communications on behalf of the organization, including the creation and dissemination of an intriguing weekly newsletter

  • Promote organizational and member news through formal press release distribution and article pitches to key media sources by building and maintaining strong media contacts

  • Track data, metrics, and analytics to monitor the effectiveness of marketing performance and analyze for reporting to leadership

  • Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and organizations in the community, including regional entrepreneurial and economic development organizations

  • Represent TechFW by attending various events across the North Texas region

REPORTS TO:  Assistant Director

SUPERVISES: External marketing contractors, vendors and interns


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Passionate about helping entrepreneurs launch and grow emerging technology companies

  • Innovative thinker with a track record for shifting ideas into action that bring results

  • Displays a basic understanding of business fundamentals and terminology

  • Familiarity with the North Texas entrepreneurial ecosystem and startup community

  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to use social media channels effectively to deliver marketing content

  • Experience creating targeted content that generates measurable ROI

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to lead, direct, coordinate and evaluate diverse work efforts

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that may include public speaking and presentations to a wide range of stakeholders

  • Experienced with Social Media platforms, Canvas, Squarespace, Hootsuite, Eventbrite and Wix

  • Graphic design skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred

  • Stays up-to-date with marketing trends and potential new channels

  • Dynamic team player willing to assist team members in need

  • Established connections to essential media contacts

  • Knowledge of creating and launching rebrand campaign




  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred



  • At least 3 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or similar field.

  • Social media required

  • Website Management preferred

  • Graphic Design preferred

  • Community engagement

Salary Range:    $55,000-$60,000
