TECH Fort Worth Acceleration Lab

The TECH Fort Worth Acceleration Lab, a partnership with the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth opened in early April, 2008. The area is on the second floor of the Center for BioHealth on the UNTHSC campus. 

The Acceleration Lab will leverage the resources at the university for the benefit of clients who are developing new medical devices, novel discovery tools for health and pharmaceutical research and other life science innovations.

The Acceleration Lab consists of six wet labs, cubicle space, a private conference room, the UNTHSC’s Office of Technology Transfer and Commercialization and TECH Fort Worth staff offices, with access to common areas, a break room and other conference rooms on campus.  The facility also will provide shared office equipment, internet access and administrative assistance. 

In addition, TECH Fort Worth clients have access to the Office of Grants and Contracts Management for assistance in identifying funding opportunities, preparing and submitting grant and contract proposals, and attaining support for post-award account set-up and monitoring.  The Office of Human Subjects Protection, in conjunction with the Office of Clinical Trials, is also available to TECH Fort Worth clients for identification of subject populations and implementation of clinical trials required for development of products and devices.
